Abstract
This paper describes an laage understanding syste• which Interprets line seg•ents detected In clne-anglograas, clne-fll• records of radiographic laages of coronary arteries, Into a aodel of the arterial systea based on expert knowledge on the artery. A production syste• accesses rules on shapes and structures of the blood vessels to evaluate the geoaetrlcal para•eters or sequences of seg•ents, and a tree or hypotheses on the Identities of the Individual segaents In each view Is generated. Finally, the hypotheses obtained fro• different views are Integrated to find a aore reliable Interpretation of the laages.
