Boundary Conditions in Multiple Intrinsic Images
Proceedings of the Eighth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence. Vision. Pages 1068-1071.
Abstract
Intrinsic imag es are viewer-centered descriptions of physical properties such as color, disparity , optic fl ow, and surface orientation. Algorithms for computing intrinsic images depend crucially on boundary c:oncli!ions, hut it is not always possible to spec ify boundary conditions if intrinsic images are computed independently. We explore two observations: (a) if intrin sic image s are computed simultaneously, the boundary condition problem is improved; and (b) boundary conditions can be computed from global parameters.
