A Theory of Clausal Discovery
Proceedings of the Thirteenth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence. Machine Learning. Pages 1058-1062.
Abstract
A framework and algorithm for inducing full clausal theories from databases is presented. The algorithm is implemented in the system CLAUDIEN. The system combines clausal refinement operators, depth-first iterative deepening and language bias, to find clausal theories that satisfy a given database and that are expressible in the language. The clausal discovery algorithm computes a minimally complete theory expressible in the language. Such theories are most informative and logically nonredundant.
