Image Compression and Filtering Using Pyramid Data Structures
Proceedings of the Eighth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence. Vision. Pages 1086-1087.
Abstract
Applications of pyramid data structure to image compression and image filtering are described . The compression scheme fits visual perception models, and filtering is computationally faster than filtering in the frequency domain . Certain choices or weights may be used for normalization .
