Allophonic and Phonotactic Constraints Are Useful
Proceedings of the Eighth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence. Natural Language. Pages 636-637.
Abstract
This paper argues that allo phonic and phonotactic cues are a source of co nstraint, not a source of noi se as many speech re searchers have assumed in the past. These constraints are formulated so that they can be exploited with well -known parsing techniques.
