The best-known methods of XAI are sub-symbolic. Unfortunately, these methods do not give guarantees of rigor. Logic-based XAI addresses the lack of rigor of sub-symbolic methods, but in turn it exhibits some drawbacks. These include scalability, explanation size, but also the need to access the details of the machine learning model. Furthermore, access to the details of an ML model may reveal sensitive information. This\r\npaper builds on recent work on symbolic model-agnostic XAI, which is based on explaining samples of behavior of a blackbox ML model, and proposes efficient algorithms for the computation of explanations. The experiments confirm the scalability of the novel algorithms.","doi":"10.24963/ijcai.2025/294","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2025/294","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2025/0294.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2025/294.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2025/bibtex/294","volume":{"slug":"2025","title":"Proceedings of the Thirty-Fourth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 2025","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2025/","year":2025,"location":"Montreal, Canada","dates":"16-22 August 2025","editors":"James Kwok","isbn":"978-1-956792-06-5","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence Organization","doi_prefix":"10.24963/ijcai.2025"},"section":"Constraint Satisfaction and Optimization","track":"Main Track","number":294,"pages":{"first":2637,"last":2646},"keywords":["Constraint Satisfaction and Optimization: CSO: Constraint learning and acquisition","Constraint Satisfaction and Optimization: CSO: Satisfiabilty","AI Ethics, Trust, Fairness: ETF: Explainability and interpretability","Constraint Satisfaction and Optimization: CSO: Constraint programming"],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
