A key challenge in these markets is understanding preference data, as the interpretability of algorithmic solutions hinges on accurately capturing and explaining preferences. We introduce MatchXplain, a platform that integrates preference explanation with a robust matching engine. MatchXplain offers a layered approach for explaining preferences, computing diverse matching solutions, and providing interactive visualizations to enhance user understanding. By bridging algorithmic decision-making with explainability, MatchXplain improves transparency and trust in algorithmic matching markets.","doi":"10.24963/ijcai.2025/1261","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2025/1261","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2025/1261.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2025/1261.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2025/bibtex/1261","volume":{"slug":"2025","title":"Proceedings of the Thirty-Fourth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 2025","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2025/","year":2025,"location":"Montreal, Canada","dates":"16-22 August 2025","editors":"James Kwok","isbn":"978-1-956792-06-5","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence Organization","doi_prefix":"10.24963/ijcai.2025"},"section":"Demo Track","track":"Demo Track","number":1261,"pages":{"first":11053,"last":11057},"keywords":["Agent-based and Multi-agent Systems: MAS: Engineering methods, platforms, languages and tools","Game Theory and Economic Paradigms: GTEP: Computational social choice","Humans and AI: HAI: Human-AI collaboration","Game Theory and Economic Paradigms: GTEP: Auctions and market-based systems"],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
