Veracity leverages the synergy between Large Language Models (LLMs) and web retrieval agents to analyze user-submitted claims and provide grounded veracity assessments with intuitive explanations.  Key features include multilingual support, numerical scoring of claim veracity, and an interactive interface inspired by familiar messaging applications.  This paper will showcase Veracity's ability to not only detect misinformation but also explain its reasoning, fostering media literacy and promoting a more informed society.","doi":"10.24963/ijcai.2025/1254","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2025/1254","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2025/1254.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2025/1254.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2025/bibtex/1254","volume":{"slug":"2025","title":"Proceedings of the Thirty-Fourth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 2025","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2025/","year":2025,"location":"Montreal, Canada","dates":"16-22 August 2025","editors":"James Kwok","isbn":"978-1-956792-06-5","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence Organization","doi_prefix":"10.24963/ijcai.2025"},"section":"Demo Track","track":"Demo Track","number":1254,"pages":{"first":11021,"last":11024},"keywords":["Multidisciplinary Topics and Applications: MTA: News and media","Humans and AI: HAI: Human-computer interaction","Multidisciplinary Topics and Applications: MTA: Software engineering","AI Ethics, Trust, Fairness: ETF: Trustworthy AI"],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
