This wide variety of applications also brings a wide variety of implemented protocols, terminology and utility functions, which makes it hard to compare and improve strategies using existing solutions.  \r\n    We introduce a meta-model of negotiations, which characterizes almost all one-to-many negotiation research, bringing a unified description of the negotiations. This meta-model allows us to identify different classes of interdependency based on utility functions.\r\n    We show how existing one-to-many negotiations are related to each other, finding new insights and identifying knowledge gaps. \r\n     We suggest that a general utility function framework and benchmark scenarios for one-to-many negotiations could accommodate future advancement in this field.","doi":"10.24963/ijcai.2025/1159","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2025/1159","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2025/1159.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2025/1159.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2025/bibtex/1159","volume":{"slug":"2025","title":"Proceedings of the Thirty-Fourth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 2025","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2025/","year":2025,"location":"Montreal, Canada","dates":"16-22 August 2025","editors":"James Kwok","isbn":"978-1-956792-06-5","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence Organization","doi_prefix":"10.24963/ijcai.2025"},"section":"Survey Track","track":"Survey Track","number":1159,"pages":{"first":10436,"last":10444},"keywords":["Agent-based and Multi-agent Systems: MAS: Agreement technologies: Negotiation and contract-based systems","Agent-based and Multi-agent Systems: MAS: Coordination and cooperation"],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
