In this paper, we link this paradigm to an older one: Procedural Content Generation (PCG). We propose a lens to identify the commonalities between both paradigms that we call human-AI interactive generation. Using this lens, we identify three beneficial attributes then survey recent related work and summarize relevant findings.","doi":"10.24963/ijcai.2024/977","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2024/977","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2024/0977.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2024/977.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2024/bibtex/977","volume":{"slug":"2024","title":"Proceedings of the Thirty-Third International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 2024","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2024/","year":2024,"location":"Jeju, Korea","dates":"3-9 August 2024","editors":"Kate Larson","isbn":"978-1-956792-04-1","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence Organization","doi_prefix":"10.24963/ijcai.2024"},"section":"Early Career","track":"Early Career","number":977,"pages":{"first":8529,"last":8534},"keywords":["Humans and AI: HAI: Human-computer interaction","Humans and AI: HAI: Intelligent user interfaces","Multidisciplinary Topics and Applications: MTA: Computer games","Machine Learning: ML: Generative models"],"videos":[],"references":[{"position":1,"raw":"[Alvarez et al., 2022] Alberto Alvarez, Jose Font, and Julian Togelius.
