We analyze the performance of five grammatical induction algorithms on three datasets using various musical viewpoint combinations. Our experiments show that the LONGESTFIRST algorithm achieves the best F1 scores across all three datasets and that input encodings that include the duration viewpoint result in the best performance.","doi":"10.24963/ijcai.2024/855","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2024/855","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2024/0855.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2024/855.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2024/bibtex/855","volume":{"slug":"2024","title":"Proceedings of the Thirty-Third International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 2024","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2024/","year":2024,"location":"Jeju, Korea","dates":"3-9 August 2024","editors":"Kate Larson","isbn":"978-1-956792-04-1","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence Organization","doi_prefix":"10.24963/ijcai.2024"},"section":"AI, Arts & Creativity","track":"AI, Arts & Creativity","number":855,"pages":{"first":7726,"last":7734},"keywords":["Methods and resources: Datasets, knowledge bases and ontologies","Application domains: Music and sound","Methods and resources: Other methods or resources","Theory and philosophy of arts and creativity in AI systems: Autonomous creative or artistic AI","Methods and resources: AI systems for ideation"],"videos":[],"references":[{"position":1,"raw":"[Barlow and Morgenstern, 1953] Harold Barlow and Sam Morgenstern.
