My aim is to better understand LD: theoretically as well as practically; in particular, by establishing containment in certain computational classes for corresponding combinatorial problems, suggesting methods to improve the use of LD, and understand its adaptation to specific scenarios. Concretely, I consider the use of LD as a solution for the problem of low voter attention in light of the high cognitive effort needed by voters to actively participate in voting processes.","doi":"10.24963/ijcai.2023/809","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2023/809","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2023/0809.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2023/809.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2023/bibtex/809","volume":{"slug":"2023","title":"Proceedings of the Thirty-Second International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 2023","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2023/","year":2023,"location":"Macao, SAR","dates":"19-25 August 2023","editors":"Edith Elkind","isbn":"978-1-956792-03-4","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence Organization","doi_prefix":"10.24963/ijcai.2023"},"section":"Doctoral Consortium","track":"Doctoral Consortium","number":809,"pages":{"first":7069,"last":7070},"keywords":["Agent-based and Multi-agent Systems: MAS: Agent-based simulation and emergence","Agent-based and Multi-agent Systems: MAS: Applications","Game Theory and Economic Paradigms: GTEP: Computational social choice","Agent-based and Multi-agent Systems: MAS: Agent societies"],"videos":[],"references":[{"position":1,"raw":"[Alouf-Heffetz et al., 2022a] Shiri Alouf-Heffetz, Ben Arm- strong, Nimrod Talmon, and Kate Larson.
