Our starting point is the study of preserving single-peakedness. We identify voting rules that, when given a single-peaked profile, output at least one ranking that is single peaked w.r.t. a single-peaked axis of the input. For such voting rules we show convergence to a stable state of the diffusion process that uses the voting rule as the agents' update rule. Further, we establish an efficient algorithm that maximises the spread of extreme opinions.","doi":"10.24963/ijcai.2022/20","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2022/20","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2022/0020.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2022/20.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2022/bibtex/20","volume":{"slug":"2022","title":"Proceedings of the Thirty-First International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 2022","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2022/","year":2022,"location":"Vienna","dates":"23-29 July 2022","editors":"Luc De Raedt","isbn":"978-1-956792-00-3","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence Organization","doi_prefix":"10.24963/ijcai.2022"},"section":"Agent-based and Multi-agent Systems","track":"Main Track","number":20,"pages":{"first":137,"last":143},"keywords":["Agent-based and Multi-agent Systems: Computational Social Choice"],"videos":[{"label":"Video #1","url":"https://slideslive.com/38987052","length_sec":90,"provider":"slideslive"},{"label":"Video #2","url":"https://slideslive.com/38985195","length_sec":551,"provider":"slideslive"}],"references":[{"position":1,"raw":"[Auletta et al., 2015] Vincenzo Auletta, Ioannis Caragiannis, Diodato Ferraioli, Clemente Galdi, and Giuseppe Per- siano.
