Of the several aspects that characterise the behaviour of intelligent agents, I primarily study sequential decision making, learning, and exploration. My interests also extend to broader questions on the effects of AI on life and society. In this paper, I present four distinct investigations drawn from my recent work, which range from theoretical to applied, and which involve both analysis and design. I also share my outlook as an early-career researcher.","doi":"10.24963/ijcai.2021/700","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2021/700","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2021/0700.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2021/700.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2021/bibtex/700","volume":{"slug":"2021","title":"Proceedings of the Thirtieth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 2021","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2021/","year":2021,"location":"Montreal","dates":"19-27 August 2021","editors":"Prof. Zhi-Hua Zhou","isbn":"978-0-9992411-9-6","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence Organization","doi_prefix":"10.24963/ijcai.2021"},"section":"Early Career","track":"Early Career","number":700,"pages":{"first":4946,"last":4950},"keywords":["AI Ethics, Trust, Fairness: Societal Impact of AI","Planning and Scheduling: Applications of Planning","Machine Learning: Online Learning","Planning and Scheduling: Markov Decisions Processes"],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
