While research on this problem gathered momentum as an offshoot of plan recognition, recent research has established it as a major subject of research on its own, leading to numerous new approaches that both expand the expressivity of domains in which to perform goal recognition and substantial advances to the state-of-the-art on established domain types. In this survey, we focus on the advances to goal recognition achieved in the last decade, categorizing the resulting techniques and identifying a number of opportunities for further breakthrough research.","doi":"10.24963/ijcai.2021/616","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2021/616","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2021/0616.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2021/616.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2021/bibtex/616","volume":{"slug":"2021","title":"Proceedings of the Thirtieth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 2021","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2021/","year":2021,"location":"Montreal","dates":"19-27 August 2021","editors":"Prof. Zhi-Hua Zhou","isbn":"978-0-9992411-9-6","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence Organization","doi_prefix":"10.24963/ijcai.2021"},"section":"Survey Track","track":"Survey Track","number":616,"pages":{"first":4524,"last":4532},"keywords":["Planning and scheduling: General","Agent-based and multi-agent based systems: General"],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
