A recent epistemic planning formalism based on First-Order Dynamic Epistemic Logic (FODEL) combines the strengths of DEL (higher-order epistemics) with those of first-order languages (lifted representation), yielding benefits in terms of expressiveness and representational succinctness. This paper studies the plan existence problem for FODEL planning, showing that while the problem is generally undecidable, the cases of single-agent planning and multi-agent planning with non-modal preconditions are decidable.","doi":"10.24963/ijcai.2020/575","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2020/575","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2020/0575.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2020/575.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2020/bibtex/575","volume":{"slug":"2020","title":"Proceedings of the Twenty-Ninth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 2020","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2020/","year":2020,"location":"Yokohama","dates":"January 2021 (postponed from 11-17 July 2020)","editors":"Christian Bessiere","isbn":"978-0-9992411-6-5","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence Organization","doi_prefix":"10.24963/ijcai.2020"},"section":"Planning and Scheduling","track":"Main track","number":575,"pages":{"first":4161,"last":4167},"keywords":["Planning and Scheduling: Distributed;Multi-agent Planning","Planning and Scheduling: Theoretical Foundations of Planning","Knowledge Representation and Reasoning: Reasoning about Knowledge and Belief","Agent-based and Multi-agent Systems: Multi-agent Planning"],"videos":[{"label":"Video","url":"https://videos.ijcai20.org/25161/file_25161.m3u8","length_sec":298,"provider":"hls"}],"references":[{"position":1,"raw":"[Achen et al., 2020] Andreas Achen, Andrés Occhipinti Liberman, and Rasmus K.
