This postulate assumes a conservative attitude towards initial beliefs, in the sense that an agent faced with the need to revise them will seek to preserve initial beliefs as much as possible. In this work we look at operators that can assume different attitudes towards original beliefs. We provide axiomatizations of these operators by varying the aforementioned postulate and obtain representation results that characterize the new types of operators using preorders on possible worlds. We also present concrete examples for each new type of operator, adapting notions from decision theory.","doi":"10.24963/ijcai.2019/239","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2019/239","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2019/0239.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2019/239.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2019/bibtex/239","volume":{"slug":"2019","title":"Proceedings of the Twenty-Eighth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 2019","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2019/","year":2019,"location":"Macao","dates":"10-16 August 2019","editors":"Sarit Kraus","isbn":"978-0-9992411-4-1","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence Organization","doi_prefix":"10.24963/ijcai.2019"},"section":"Knowledge Representation and Reasoning","track":"Main track","number":239,"pages":{"first":1726,"last":1733},"keywords":["Knowledge Representation and Reasoning: Reasoning about Knowlege and Belief","Knowledge Representation and Reasoning: Belief Change"],"videos":[],"references":[{"position":1,"raw":"[Alchourrón et al., 1985] Carlos E.
