The semantics of the new operator is based on the idea that knowing how to achieve phi means that there exists a (uniform) strategy such that the agent knows that it can make sure phi. We give an intuitive axiomatisation of our logic and prove the soundness, completeness, and decidability of the logic. The crucial axioms relating knowing that and knowing how illustrate our understanding of knowing how in this setting. This logic can be used in representing and reasoning about knowledge-how.","doi":"10.24963/ijcai.2017/143","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2017/143","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2017/0143.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2017/143.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2017/bibtex/143","volume":{"slug":"2017","title":"Proceedings of the Twenty-Sixth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 2017","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2017/","year":2017,"location":"Melbourne, Australia","dates":"19-25 August 2017","editors":"Carles Sierra","isbn":"978-0-9992411-0-3","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence Organization","doi_prefix":"10.24963/ijcai.2017"},"section":"Knowledge Representation, Reasoning, and Logic","track":"Main track","number":143,"pages":{"first":1031,"last":1038},"keywords":["Planning and Scheduling: Planning under Uncertainty","Knowledge Representation, Reasoning, and Logic: Non-classical logics for Knowledge Representation","Knowledge Representation, Reasoning, and Logic: Logics for Knowledge Representation"],"videos":[],"references":[{"position":1,"raw":"[Ågotnes and Alechina, 2012] Thomas Ågotnes and Natasha Alechina.
