We show that EQBL can express relevant properties about agents’ knowledge in multi-agent contexts, such as “agent a knows as much as agent b”. We analyse the expressiveness of EQBL through a translation into monadic second-order logic, and provide completeness results w.r.t. various classes of Kripke frames. Finally, we prove that model checking EQBL is PSPACE-complete. Thus, the complexity of model checking EQBL is no harder than for (non-modal) quantified boolean logic.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2015/389","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2015/0389.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2015/389.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2015/bibtex/389","volume":{"slug":"2015","title":"Proceedings of the Twenty-Fourth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 2015","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2015/","year":2015,"location":"Buenos Aires, Argentina","dates":"25–31 July 2015","editors":"Qiang Yang and Michael Wooldridge","isbn":"978-1-57735-738-4","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":"Special Track on Knowledge Representation and Reasoning","track":"Special Track on Knowledge Representation and Reasoning","number":389,"pages":{"first":2748,"last":2753},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
