DeQED is based on the Divide-and-Coordinate (DaC) framework, where the agents repeatedly solve their updated local subproblems (the divide stage) and exchange coordination information that causes them to update their local sub-problems (the coordinate stage). Unlike other DaC-based DCOP algorithms, DeQED does not essentially increase the complexity of local subproblems and allows agents to avoid exchanging (primal) variable values in the coordinate stage. Our experimental results show that DeQED significantly outperformed other incomplete DCOP algorithms for both random and structured instances.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2013/91","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2013/0091.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2013/91.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2013/bibtex/91","volume":{"slug":"2013","title":"Proceedings of the Twenty-Third International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 2013","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2013/","year":2013,"location":"Beijing, China","dates":"3–9 August 2013","editors":"Francesca Rossi","isbn":"978-1-57735-633-2","publisher":"AAAI Press / International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":null,"track":"","number":91,"pages":{"first":566,"last":571},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
