While the problem has been thoroughly studied, one open issue has resisted a principled solution: if the target specification is not fully realizable, is there a way to realize it at best? In this paper we answer positively, by showing that there exists a unique supremal realizable target behavior satisfying the specification. More importantly we give an effective procedure to compute such a target. Then, we introduce exogenous events, and show that the supremal can again be computed, though this time, into two variants, depending on the ability to observe such events.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2013/177","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2013/0177.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2013/177.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2013/bibtex/177","volume":{"slug":"2013","title":"Proceedings of the Twenty-Third International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 2013","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2013/","year":2013,"location":"Beijing, China","dates":"3–9 August 2013","editors":"Francesca Rossi","isbn":"978-1-57735-633-2","publisher":"AAAI Press / International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":null,"track":"","number":177,"pages":{"first":1176,"last":1181},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
