The approach is envisaged as a crucial ability for agents in order to: (1) estimate trustworthiness of unknown trustees based on an ascribed mem- bership to categories; (2) learn a series of emer- gent relations between trustees observable proper- ties and their effective abilities to fulfill tasks in sit- uated conditions. On such a basis, categorization is provided to recognize signs (Manifesta) through which hidden capabilities (Kripta) can be inferred. Learning is provided to refine reasoning attitudes needed to ascribe tasks to categories. A series of ar- chitectures combining categorization abilities, indi- vidual experiences and context awareness are eval- uated and compared in simulated experiments.","doi":"10.5591/978-1-57735-516-8/IJCAI11-075","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2011/75","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2011/0075.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2011/75.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2011/bibtex/75","volume":{"slug":"2011","title":"Proceedings of the Twenty-Second International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 2011","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2011/","year":2011,"location":"Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain","dates":"16–22 July 2011","editors":"Toby Walsh","isbn":"978-1-57735-512-0; 978-1-57735-513-7; 978-1-57735-514-4; 978-1-57735-515-1; 978-1-57735-516-8","publisher":"AAAI Press/International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":null,"track":"","number":75,"pages":{"first":400,"last":404},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
