Starting from a density estimation view to clustering problems, we propose two general on-line frameworks. In the first framework, i.e.,historical data dependent (HDD), current model distribution is designed to approximate both current and historical data distributions. In the second framework, i.e., historical model dependent (HMD), current model distribution is designed to approximate both current data distribution and historical model distribution. Both frameworks are based on the general exponential family mixture (EFM) model. As a result, all conventional clustering algorithms based on EFMs can be extended to evolutionary setting under the two frameworks. Empirical results validate the two frameworks.Jianwen Zhang, Yangqiu Song, Gang Chen, Changshui Zhang","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2009/269","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2009/0269.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2009/269.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2009/bibtex/269","volume":{"slug":"2009","title":"Proceedings of the Twenty-First International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 2009","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2009/","year":2009,"location":"Pasadena, California, USA","dates":"","editors":"Hiroaki Kitano","isbn":"","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":null,"track":"","number":269,"pages":{"first":1610,"last":1614},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
