In this paper we aim at identifying this scope, and we show that belief update is a specific case of feedback-free action progression. This strong connection with the field of reasoning about action leads us to reconsider belief update and investigate new issues, especially reverse update, which is to regression what update is to progression.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2007/405","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2007/0405.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2007/405.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2007/bibtex/405","volume":{"slug":"2007","title":"Proceedings of the Twentieth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 2007","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2007/","year":2007,"location":"Hyderabad, India","dates":"","editors":"Ramon López de Mántaras","isbn":"","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":null,"track":"","number":405,"pages":{"first":2517,"last":2521},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
