A second assumption often made is that these state properties can be related to other state properties, called reducers. The current paper proposes a philosophical framework in terms of potentialities and their reducers to obtain a common philosophical foundation for methods in AI and Cognitive Science to model dynamics. This framework provides a unified philosophical foundation for numerical, symbolic, and hybrid approaches.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2007/40","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2007/0040.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2007/40.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2007/bibtex/40","volume":{"slug":"2007","title":"Proceedings of the Twentieth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 2007","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2007/","year":2007,"location":"Hyderabad, India","dates":"","editors":"Ramon López de Mántaras","isbn":"","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":null,"track":"","number":40,"pages":{"first":262,"last":266},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
