However, the dialog between these two disciplines has not been effective. Specifically, significant recent results in parsing mildly context sensitive grammars have not been leveraged in the state of the art plan recognition systems. This paper will outline the relations between natural language processing(NLP) and plan recognition(PR), argue that each of them can effectively inform the other, and then focus on key recent research results in NLP and argue for their applicability to PR.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2007/260","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2007/0260.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2007/260.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2007/bibtex/260","volume":{"slug":"2007","title":"Proceedings of the Twentieth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 2007","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2007/","year":2007,"location":"Hyderabad, India","dates":"","editors":"Ramon López de Mántaras","isbn":"","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":null,"track":"","number":260,"pages":{"first":1612,"last":1616},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
