As we show in this paper, basic retrieval strategies such as nearest neighbor are potentially unreliable when applied to incomplete queries. To address this issue, we present techniques for automating the discovery of recommendation rules that are provably reliable and non-conflicting while requiring minimal information for their application in a rule-based approach to the retrieval of recommended cases.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/88","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/0088.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/88.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/bibtex/88","volume":{"slug":"2005","title":"Proceedings of the Nineteenth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 2005","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/","year":2005,"location":"Edinburgh, Scotland, UK","dates":"","editors":"","isbn":"","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":null,"track":"","number":88,"pages":{"first":9,"last":13},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
