These permit complex constraint expressions to be built from primitive constraints. However, the propagation of such complex constraint expressions is typically limited. We therefore present a simple and light weight method for propagating complex constraint expressions. We provide a precise characterization of when this method enforces generalized arc-consistency. In addition, we demonstrate that with our method many different global constraints can be easily implemented.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/41","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/0041.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/41.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/bibtex/41","volume":{"slug":"2005","title":"Proceedings of the Nineteenth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 2005","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/","year":2005,"location":"Edinburgh, Scotland, UK","dates":"","editors":"","isbn":"","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":null,"track":"","number":41,"pages":{"first":35,"last":39},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
