We focus attention on a principle to minimize the entropy of angle distribution between line segments in a 3-D wire frame as a concrete definition of the law of pragnanz in Gestalt Psychology. And we implement the principle with the perceptual preference of planarity to the loops of wire frames using a genetic algorithm. Experimental results show the good coincidence with human perception.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/337","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/0337.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/337.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/bibtex/337","volume":{"slug":"2005","title":"Proceedings of the Nineteenth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 2005","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/","year":2005,"location":"Edinburgh, Scotland, UK","dates":"","editors":"","isbn":"","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":null,"track":"","number":337,"pages":{"first":1738,"last":1738},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
