An assumption-based argumentation framework [Bondarenko et al., 1997] will constitute a special case of this construction. In addition, a stronger argumentation system in a full classical language will be shown to be equivalent to a system of causal reasoning [Giunchiglia et al., 2004]. The implications of this correspondence for the respective nonmonotonic theories of argumentation and causal reasoning are discussed.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/3","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/0003.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/3.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/bibtex/3","volume":{"slug":"2005","title":"Proceedings of the Nineteenth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 2005","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/","year":2005,"location":"Edinburgh, Scotland, UK","dates":"","editors":"","isbn":"","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":null,"track":"","number":3,"pages":{"first":388,"last":392},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
