Recently, researchers have proposed two variants of WA*: KWA* adds diversity to WA*, and MSC-WA* adds commitment to WA*. In this paper, we demonstrate that there is benefit in combining them. The resulting MSC-KWA* scales up to larger domains than WA*, KWA* and MSC-WA*, which is rather surprising since diversity and commitment at first glance seem to be opposing concepts.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/284","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/0284.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/284.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/bibtex/284","volume":{"slug":"2005","title":"Proceedings of the Nineteenth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 2005","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/","year":2005,"location":"Edinburgh, Scotland, UK","dates":"","editors":"","isbn":"","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":null,"track":"","number":284,"pages":{"first":1521,"last":1521},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
