At the same time, there is a similar reorganizing operator, called the “folding rule,” developed in program transformation. We argue that there are advantages in using an extended folding rule as a reorganizing operator for inductive-inference systems. Such an extended folding rule allows an inductive-inference system not only to recognize already-learned concepts, but also to increase the efficiently of execution of inferred programs.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/280","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/0280.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/280.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/bibtex/280","volume":{"slug":"2005","title":"Proceedings of the Nineteenth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 2005","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/","year":2005,"location":"Edinburgh, Scotland, UK","dates":"","editors":"","isbn":"","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":null,"track":"","number":280,"pages":{"first":1630,"last":1630},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
