In this approach, the system first learns to distinguish different uses of instances of the word one; in the second stage, the antecedents of those instances of one that are classified as anaphoric are then determined. We evaluated our approach on written texts drawn from the informative domains of the British National Corpus (BNC), and achieved encouraging results. To our knowledge, this is the first learningbased system for the identification and resolution of one-anaphora.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/215","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/0215.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/215.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/bibtex/215","volume":{"slug":"2005","title":"Proceedings of the Nineteenth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 2005","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/","year":2005,"location":"Edinburgh, Scotland, UK","dates":"","editors":"","isbn":"","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":null,"track":"","number":215,"pages":{"first":1105,"last":1109},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
