The first part of this paper concerns the Katsuno-Mendelzon’s postulates: we first point out that these postulates are not fully satisfactory since only a class of partially ordered information can be revised. We then propose a suitable definition of faithful assignment, followed by a new set of postulates and a representation theorem. The second part of this paper investigates additional postulates dedicated to iterated revision operators of partially ordered information. Three extensions of well-known iterated belief revision operations for dealing with partially ordered information are briefly presented.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/190","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/0190.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/190.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/bibtex/190","volume":{"slug":"2005","title":"Proceedings of the Nineteenth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 2005","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2005/","year":2005,"location":"Edinburgh, Scotland, UK","dates":"","editors":"","isbn":"","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":null,"track":"","number":190,"pages":{"first":376,"last":380},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
