TAGA makes several contributions: auction services are added to enrich the Agentcities environment, the use of the semantic web languages RDF and DAML+OIL improve the interoperability among agents, and the DAML-S ontology is employed to support service registration, discovery and invocation. The FIP A and Agentcities standards for agent communication, infrastructure and services provide an important foundation in building this distributed and open market framework. TAGA is intended as a platform for research in multi-agent systems, the semantic web and/or automated trading in dynamic markets as well as a selfcontained application for teaching and experimentation with these technologies. It is running as a continuous open game at http://taga.umbc.edu/ and source code is available for research and teaching purposes.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2003/291","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2003/0291.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2003/291.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2003/bibtex/291","volume":{"slug":"2003","title":"Proceedings of the Eighteenth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 2003","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2003/","year":2003,"location":"Acapulco, Mexico","dates":"","editors":"Georg Gottlob","isbn":"","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":null,"track":"","number":291,"pages":{"first":1645,"last":-1},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
