In automated verification one uses algorithmic techniques to establish the correctness of the design with respect to a given property. Automated verification is based on a small number of key algorithmic ideas, tying together graph theory, automata theory, and logic. In this self-contained talk I will describe how this \"holy trinity\" gave rise to automated-verification tools, and mention some applications to planning.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2003/280","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2003/0280.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2003/280.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2003/bibtex/280","volume":{"slug":"2003","title":"Proceedings of the Eighteenth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 2003","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2003/","year":2003,"location":"Acapulco, Mexico","dates":"","editors":"Georg Gottlob","isbn":"","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":null,"track":"","number":280,"pages":{"first":1603,"last":1605},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
