These demands led to the development of the M2-M4 Macaco project- a robotic active vision head. Macaco is a portable system, capable of emulating the head of different creatures both aesthetically and functionally. It integrates mechanisms for social interactions, autonomous navigation and object analysis.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2003/269","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2003/0269.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2003/269.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2003/bibtex/269","volume":{"slug":"2003","title":"Proceedings of the Eighteenth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 2003","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2003/","year":2003,"location":"Acapulco, Mexico","dates":"","editors":"Georg Gottlob","isbn":"","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":null,"track":"","number":269,"pages":{"first":1553,"last":1553},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
