When the planner, PEGG, is set to conduct exhaustive search, it produces guaranteed optimal parallel plans 2 to 90 times faster than a version of Graphplan enhanced with CSP speedup methods. By heuristically pruning this search space PEGG produces plans comparable to Graphplan's in makespan, at speeds ap proaching state-of-the-art heuristic serial planners.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2003/261","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2003/0261.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2003/261.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2003/bibtex/261","volume":{"slug":"2003","title":"Proceedings of the Eighteenth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 2003","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2003/","year":2003,"location":"Acapulco, Mexico","dates":"","editors":"Georg Gottlob","isbn":"","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":null,"track":"","number":261,"pages":{"first":1526,"last":-1},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
