An algorithm for removing overlapping sub-values is presented. The resulting CSPs take less time to find all solutions and yield a more compactly-representable, but equivalent, solution set. Experimental results show that, especially in loose problems with large numbers of solutions, dramatic savings in search cost are achieved.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2003/200","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2003/0200.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2003/200.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2003/bibtex/200","volume":{"slug":"2003","title":"Proceedings of the Eighteenth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 2003","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2003/","year":2003,"location":"Acapulco, Mexico","dates":"","editors":"Georg Gottlob","isbn":"","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":null,"track":"","number":200,"pages":{"first":1366,"last":1366},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
