In this paper, we propose a new representation language for general multiplayer games — multi-agent influence diagrams (MAIDs). This representation extends graphical models for probability distributions to a multi-agent decision-making context. MAIDs explicitly encode structure involving the dependence relationships among variables. As a consequence, we can define a notion of strategic relevance of one decision variable to another:","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2001/139","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2001/0139.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2001/139.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2001/bibtex/139","volume":{"slug":"2001","title":"Proceedings of the Seventeenth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 2001","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/2001/","year":2001,"location":"Seattle, Washington, USA","dates":"","editors":"","isbn":"","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":null,"track":"","number":139,"pages":{"first":1027,"last":1035},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
