The algorithm handles arbitrary sets of propositional defaults with associated strength assignments and succeeds whenever the set satisfies a robustness condition. Failure of this condition implies the problem may not be sufficiently specified for a unique solution to exist. This work extends the applicability of the maximum entropy approach detailed in [Goldszmidt et al., 1993], and clarifies the assumptions on which the method is based.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1999/8","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1999/0008.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1999/8.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1999/bibtex/8","volume":{"slug":"1999","title":"Proceedings of the Sixteenth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 1999","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1999/","year":1999,"location":"Stockholm, Sweden","dates":"","editors":"Thomas Dean","isbn":"","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":"Automated Reasoning","track":"Automated Reasoning","number":8,"pages":{"first":50,"last":54},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
