The goa ls of this framework are to smoothly incorporate varying levels of domain knowledge and to tailor the reasoning methods - and hence th e search space - accordingly. Our solution exploits generalized physical networks (GPN), a meta-level representation of idealized two-terminal elements, tog et her with a hierarchy of qualitative and quantitative analysis tools, to produce a dynamic modeling domain whose complexity naturally adapts to the amount of available information about the target system.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1999/149","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1999/0149.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1999/149.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1999/bibtex/149","volume":{"slug":"1999","title":"Proceedings of the Sixteenth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 1999","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1999/","year":1999,"location":"Stockholm, Sweden","dates":"","editors":"Thomas Dean","isbn":"","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":"Qualitative Reasoning and Diagnosis","track":"Qualitative Reasoning and Diagnosis","number":149,"pages":{"first":1047,"last":1052},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
