We relate neural preferences to multidimensional fuzzy set representations. Furthermore, we introduce neural preference Moore machines and relate traditional symbolic transducers with simple recurrent networks by using neural preference Moore machines. Finally, we demonstrate how the concepts of preference classes and preference Moore machin es can be used to integrate knowledge from different neural and/or symbolic machines. We argue that our new concepts for preference Moore machines contribute a new potential approach towards general principles of neural symbolic integration.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1999/120","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1999/0120.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1999/120.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1999/bibtex/120","volume":{"slug":"1999","title":"Proceedings of the Sixteenth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 1999","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1999/","year":1999,"location":"Stockholm, Sweden","dates":"","editors":"Thomas Dean","isbn":"","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":"Machine Learning","track":"Machine Learning","number":120,"pages":{"first":840,"last":844},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
