A formal definition in the situation calculus of such a programming language is presented and illustrated with a detailed example. The language includes facilities for prioritizing the concurrent execution, interrupting the execution when certain conditions become true, and dealing with exogenous actions. The language differs from other procedural formalisms for concurrency in that the initial state can be incompletely specified and the primitive actions can be user-defined by axioms in the situation calculus.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1997/176","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1997/0176.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1997/176.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1997/bibtex/176","volume":{"slug":"1997","title":"Proceedings of the Fifteenth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 1997","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1997/","year":1997,"location":"Nagoya, Japan","dates":"","editors":"Martha E.
