We discuss IDAS 's classification system and how it differs from other such systems (perhaps most notably in the presence of 'template' constructs that enable recursion to be encoded); give examples of program fragments encoded in the classification system; and compare the classification approach to other AI programming paradigms (e.g., logic programming) .","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1993/98","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1993/0098.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1993/98.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1993/bibtex/98","volume":{"slug":"1993","title":"Proceedings of the Thirteenth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 1993","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1993/","year":1993,"location":"Chambéry, France","dates":"","editors":"Ruzena Bajcsy","isbn":"","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":"Knowledge Representation","track":"Knowledge Representation","number":98,"pages":{"first":696,"last":702},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
