However, it has been recognized that intelligent agents often need to reason about other agents and their ability to reason nonmonotonically. In this paper we .present a formalization of multi-agent autoepisternic reasoning, which naturally extends earlier work by Levesque. In particular, we propose ann -agent modal belief logic, which allows us to express that a formula (or finite set of them) is all an agent knows, which may include beliefs about what other agents believe. The paper presents a formal semantics of the logic in the. possibleworld framework. We provide an axiomatization, which is complete for a large fragment of the logic and sufficient to characterize interesting forms of multi-agent autoepistemic reasoning. We also extend the stable set and stable expansion ideas of single-agent autoepistemic logic to the multi-agent cas e.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1993/53","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1993/0053.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1993/53.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1993/bibtex/53","volume":{"slug":"1993","title":"Proceedings of the Thirteenth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 1993","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1993/","year":1993,"location":"Chambéry, France","dates":"","editors":"Ruzena Bajcsy","isbn":"","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":"Distributed AI","track":"Distributed AI","number":53,"pages":{"first":376,"last":380},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
