Different approaches to define such properties for the agents and for a multi-agent system as a whole are discussed. It turns out that the properties of a multi-agent system need not correspond to separately definable properties of the agents (e.g. a community of fair agents need not constitute a fair multi-agent system). In general, analysis and verification need the consideration of the whole system, and the agents have to be considered in the context of the system, too. The results are not unique, there are different results for deadlock freedom, liveness and fairness, respectively.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1993/46","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1993/0046.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1993/46.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1993/bibtex/46","volume":{"slug":"1993","title":"Proceedings of the Thirteenth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 1993","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1993/","year":1993,"location":"Chambéry, France","dates":"","editors":"Ruzena Bajcsy","isbn":"","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":"Distributed AI","track":"Distributed AI","number":46,"pages":{"first":325,"last":330},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
