However, it is difficult for the readers of the literature in these ..areas to perceive the similarities clearly, because each formalization in those areas uses its own language sometimes without referring to other formalizations. We define ordered structures and families of ordered structures as the common ingredient of the semantics of all the works above. We also define the logics for ordered structures and families . We present a uniform view of how minimality is used in these three areas, and shed light on deep reciprocal relations among different approaches of the areas by using the ordered structures and the families of ordered structures.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1991/61","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1991/0061.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1991/61.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1991/bibtex/61","volume":{"slug":"1991","title":"Proceedings of the Twelfth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 1991","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1991/","year":1991,"location":"Sydney, New South Wales, Australia","dates":"24-30 August 1991","editors":"John Mylopoulos and Ray Reiter","isbn":"","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":"Knowledge Representation","track":"Knowledge Representation","number":61,"pages":{"first":406,"last":411},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
