We implement this non-monotonic logic by TMS similar to default logic. Prioritized defaults allow an easy formulation of a diagnosis problem including statements such as 'eletrical parts are more reliable than mechanical ones' or 'prefer correct models to fault models' since defaults are put into different levels of reliability. These preferences prune some counter arguments in TMS and thus lead to a reduced network. Moreover, the labelings of this network are exactly the preferred subtheories of its prioritized default theory.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1991/47","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1991/0047.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1991/47.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1991/bibtex/47","volume":{"slug":"1991","title":"Proceedings of the Twelfth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 1991","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1991/","year":1991,"location":"Sydney, New South Wales, Australia","dates":"24-30 August 1991","editors":"John Mylopoulos and Ray Reiter","isbn":"","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":"Automated Reasoning","track":"Automated Reasoning","number":47,"pages":{"first":310,"last":316},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
