A region is defined as a connected area of constant KIH sign combination, and thus constitutes the footprint of a local section of the intensity surface, whose shape is a peak, a pit, a positive or a negative saddle. Region adjacency information is explicited by means of a Voronoi graph representation of the region map. Matching between nodes of identical shape types in the two region maps is established by comparing the topological configuration of their immediate neighborhoods. The disparity map is established through a coarseto-fine strategy.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1991/189","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1991/0189.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1991/189.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1991/bibtex/189","volume":{"slug":"1991","title":"Proceedings of the Twelfth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 1991","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1991/","year":1991,"location":"Sydney, New South Wales, Australia","dates":"24-30 August 1991","editors":"John Mylopoulos and Ray Reiter","isbn":"","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":"Vision","track":"Vision","number":189,"pages":{"first":1286,"last":1290},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
